Fresh English translation
The sentence from the preceding page concludes: when the eleventh devotion pierces the tenfold path, one obtains the fifth liberation, the companions' mode, and goes to that city. (8) The Vedas hold many views of devotion, each greater than the last; where this devotion is enthroned, one becomes all things oneself. (9) It has satisfied all and excluded none. By watering the root it nourishes every branch, face, and sense. Devotion, liberation, and every abode become manifest and are spoken of in every home; though hidden within the hidden, I speak only as the excellent guru continually permits. In dohā: (1) One moon serves many cakora birds, while a lamp has work in many homes; fill the teacher's words with the rain of Svāti so that listeners become cātakas and pearl-shells. (2) Every mind was fulfilled, yet no one found the end. Rāmacaraṇa says each drinks Gaṅgā water according to his thirst. Thus ends the fourth section, concerning meditation, praise, question and answer, and devotion. Section five begins, in rolā meter: (1) “Listen, O Vedas: you know the way of brahman and the glory of saints. This is the saints' custom—to know, ask, and drink rasa. By your power countless sages, saints, Śiva, and others worship Hari. Attend closely while I tell of the abode of devotion as Being-Consciousness-Bliss.”
