Fresh English translation

Kāvya verse 1 concludes: vast, lofty, pure, intensely radiant, this is the darling beloved's sporting place—the very house of rasa's delight. In dohā: (1) The servant who attains the tenfold path together with the fourth receives the four blessed stations; the humble thief sells even gold and jewels in gladness. (2) The eye without discernment takes its jewel to a miser upon a powdered bank; the swan enjoys while the heron merely picks, and they die with the belly's pain. Thus ends the third section of the Rasamālikā's Bodha-śāstra, the indicatory account of the supreme station called the sacred rāsa circle. Section four begins, in kāvya meter. (1) “Above that city is another abode, ultimate beyond the ultimate and exceedingly secret.” Having said this, the Compassionate One fell silent and entered meditation; the Vedas began to awaken him: “Victory to the qualityless treasury of qualities, stainless, unborn, and free from the law of duality! (2) Victory to the Infinite Lord, end of the ender, bearer of the world; victory to the indivisible enclosure of the cosmic egg upon a single serpent hood, destroyer of worldly suffering; victory to the fourth, to knowledge beyond all yet present in all; victory to the jewel of pure devotion, the inviolable truth of Rāma's command upon your head.”
