Fresh English translation

In harigīta meter: (1) Birds tremble and dart as all are swept into rasa. Mṛdaṅgas and great drums throb and blaze while the women's hands tighten the rhythm. Many flutes, nedura, sārangī, tambūra, and accompanying instruments are held; cymbals ring, bracelets sound, and “chhamak-chham” fills the scene with brilliance. (2) Moonlike vessels seem to overflow as kettle-drums blaze with nectar-filled tones. The high voice of the shehnai rises like the step of a saint whose mind is fixed in recollection. Jew's-harp and flute sound, awakening the world to Hari's presence; anklets and bracelets in the courtyard release all thirty-six rāgas. In sugandhā meter: (1) They draw forth the thirty-six rāgas and sweet-voiced rāginīs. Other blessed women sing wondrously over them; crores display arts equal to Lakṣmī and Rati, and Rāmacaraṇa says the companions magnify this astonishing rasa. In cañcarīka meter: (1) The companions sing in the color of rasa while the Forest-Garlanded Lord dances. They bring intricate steps—“theha, thei”—body answering body and beat answering beat. “Tanana, tanana, tanana”: they sustain the melodic line and whirl their waving hands. Their flashing beauty shames moving lightning; lovely fingers stretch and quiver, radiant with grace.
