Fresh English translation
(15) From the honey of his feet the Gaṅgā descends in a mighty stream; before the Lord, deeds and crores of suns and moons disappear from sight. In dohā: (1) That city at Śyāma's feet consists of dharma, liberation, and knowledge, without the least ignorance—so Brahmā, Śruti, and Śeṣa have said. (2) Saints, seeing the lowly condition of the age, cannot withhold their own treasure. Thus ends the first section of the Rasamālikā's Bodha-śāstra, describing the seven coverings and the realm called Mahāviṣṇu's abode. Section two begins, in rolā meter. (1) When the hearers assembled, love arose; with each utterance appeared a thousand radiant dispositions, and with each disposition it was as if a hundred thousand suns became manifest. Speech began to tell bliss in a hundred thousand phrases, as though a veil were drawn away and white rays shone upon the face. (2) Above that immeasurable realm shines the world of the Lord of yogins. What poet can supply a simile for the Lord's true station? It is an unmoving abode made of blazing fire and light, where the nine paths sound as one rasa and the auspicious form is at home.
