Homage to Śrī Sītā and Rāmacandra; homage to Śrī Hanumān. Śrī Rāma-rasa-raṅga-vilāsa. Homage to Rāma, king of kings and the Supreme Self, whose nature is being, consciousness, and bliss, the Lord of Śrī Sītā. Homage again and again to Śrī Sītā, the glory of Śrī, who abides upon Rāma’s left side and is the half-measure of the primal sound in which Brahman rests. Homage to Rāma as guru: the ocean of knowledge who bears the gesture of wisdom, the sovereign of the single realm; knowledge itself, giver of excellent learning and bliss, the sun that dispels the darkness of ignorance; liberation itself, dwelling in the sacred field of Avimukta, who grants both devotion and liberation. Homage to Rāma as guru: peaceful and self-controlled, the great primordial form, the very seed of the mantra; the syllable Oṃ, the deliverer, essence of the Veda and witnessing consciousness, who bears one beyond the far shore of saṃsāra; independent in action, the causal self of the world and the mantra of the saving Brahman. Homage to Rāma as guru: resident of Ayodhyā, giver of fearlessness to every world, steadfast and true to his word; refuge and benefactor of every world, the Self within all worlds.
