[मूल — चौपाई और दोहा] बब्बा बोलो सत्य सु वानी। सत्य वस्तु जो लखै सो ज्ञानी॥ सत्य राम कहु सब संसारा। ऋषि मुनि योगी सिद्ध उदारा॥ बब्बा बंधो न राग रजु, सुन्दर नर तन पाय। राम सिया पद दृढ़ भजो, चित संतोषहि लाय॥ [सुजन-प्रबोधिनी सरल टीका] श्री ग्रन्थकार जी बकार व्यंजन द्वारा आदेश करते हुये कहते हैं कि यदि बोलने की इच्छा हो तो सुन्दर सत्य वाणी बोलो। जो संसार के बीच में तत्व स्वरूप सत्य सार वस्तु रूपा है। वह सत्य है सार है तत्व स्वरूप है उसी को जो देखे सुने कहे वही यथार्थ ज्ञानी है जो सत्य वस्तु को निश्चय रूप से देखकर ग्रहण करने वाला है वही सुन्दर ज्ञानी है। सारा संसार कह रहा है कि श्रीरामजी ही सत्य हैं ऋषि धर्म ग्रहण करने वाले ऋषी गण बड़े २ मनन शील मुनिगण और बड़े २ योगी जन और बड़े बड़े सिद्ध गण और बड़े २ उदार पुरुष सब यही कहते हैं कि श्री रामजी ही सत्य हैं। इसके कहने का तात्पर्य ये है कि सब भमेलाओं को छोड़ कर नाना प्रकार के विधि निषेध मयी चिन्ता को परित्याग कर श्री राम जी का भजन स्मरण करो। सुन्दर नर तन पाकर पंच विषय रस राग रस्सी में न बंधो क्योंकि फिर इससे छूटना दुर्गम हो जायेगा। सुन्दर दो भुज मानव शरीर पाकर, श्री सीताराम जी के पाद पद्मों को दृढ़ता पूर्वक सेवन करो, और चित्त में संतोष धारण करो, क्योंकि, बिनु संतोष न काम नसाही। काम अछत सुख सपनेहु नाही॥ (श्री गो० तु० दा०) विषय प्रसार सु मन कर भयो। परमानंद बिन मिले न भरम्यो॥ बिनु संतोष न सत सुख पावै। धरै चाट कोउ तृप्ति न लावै॥
[Root — Chaupai and Doha] Babbā: Speak beautiful words of truth. The one who beholds the true Reality is wise. All the world—seers, sages, yogins, accomplished beings, and noble souls—proclaims Rāma as Truth. Babbā: Having gained this beautiful human body, do not bind yourself with attachment’s rope. Worship firmly the feet of Rāma and Sītā, bringing contentment into the heart. [Sujana-prabodhinī Simple Commentary] Through the consonant ba, the revered author commands: If you wish to speak, speak beautiful, truthful words. Amid this world there is one true and essential Reality, the embodiment of truth and the very essence. The one who sees, hears, and speaks only of that truth is genuinely wise. Whoever beholds the true Reality with certainty and embraces it is the beautiful knower. The whole world declares that Śrī Rāma alone is Truth: seers who uphold the seer’s dharma, deeply reflective sages, great yogins, accomplished beings, and noble souls all say that Śrī Rāma alone is Truth. The purport is this: abandon every confusion and renounce the many anxieties produced by prescriptions and prohibitions; worship and remember Śrī Rāma. Having obtained this beautiful human body, do not bind yourself with the rope of taste and attachment for the five sense objects, for afterward freedom from it will be exceedingly difficult. Having received this beautiful two-armed human body, serve the lotus feet of Śrī Sītā-Rāma with steadfastness and establish contentment in the heart, for: ‘Without contentment, desire is not destroyed; while desire remains, happiness is absent even in dreams.’ (Śrī Gosvāmī Tulasīdāsa) The mind became diffused through the proliferation of worthless sense objects; without attaining supreme bliss, its wandering did not end. Without contentment, no true happiness is obtained; however long one licks at desire, satisfaction does not come.
