[मूल — चौपाई और दोहा] थथ्या थिर कर मनको राखो। सीतापति सेवा अभिलाखो॥ कर शृंगार सु छबि अवि रेखो। सनमुख मुकर लाय पुनि पेखो॥ थथ्या थापो हिय में, सिय प्रीतम छबि सार। याही में राँचो सदा, करि करि नव शृंगार॥ [सुजन-प्रबोधिनी सरल टीका] श्री ग्रन्थकार जी कहते हैं कि मनको विवेक द्वारा स्थिर करके अपने बस में रखो। मनको बसमें करके पुनः श्री सीतापति जी (जो चतुष्ट पाद विभूती नायक परे से परे परम पुरुष श्री सीताराम प्रभु हैं) उन्हीं की सेवा करते हुये सेवा करने ही की अभिलाषा (इच्छा) रखो। और श्री मूर्ति विग्रह को हृदय में मानसी भाव से विराज के मूर्ति का शृंगार नखसे शिख तक रुचि पूर्वक कर और छविको अवलोकन करो। पुनः मूर्ति के सन्मुख सर्वांगी आइना लगाकर, पुनः आइना में और सन्मुख शृंगार युक्त देखा करो। प्रथम सीधी मूर्ति के ही ओर देखो, पुनः आइना सन्मुख रख, आइना में भी मूर्ति देखो, और दोनों छवियों को देख २ कर आनन्द लूटो। उसी मूर्ति को परम शृंगार युक्त हृदय में स्थापित करो जो श्री सिया प्रीतम श्री राघवजी हैं, उन्हीं युगल जोड़ी की परम सार तत्व स्वरूपा छवि को देखो, और उसी में चतुष्ट अन्तःकरण (मन, बुद्धि, चित, अहंकार) लगा कर भले प्रकार से लगे रहो और सदैव ऋतानुकूल नित्य नया नया शृंगार कर करके देखते हुये दृढ़ता पूर्वक लगे रहो, किसी अपर वस्तु में चित्त को न जाने दो। बस यही सार सिद्धान्त तत्व स्वरूपा है। कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि— मूर्ति सुविग्रह में नित लगनो। प्रगट प्राप्ती जान सो जगनो॥
[Root — Chaupai and Doha] Thathyā: Make the mind steady and keep it so; long to serve the Lord of Sītā. Adorn the beautiful image and behold it; bring a mirror before it and look again. Thathyā: Establish in the heart the essential image of Sītā’s Beloved. Remain absorbed in it, adorning it ever anew. [Sujana-prabodhinī Simple Commentary] The revered author says: Steady the mind through discernment and keep it under your command. Having mastered the mind, desire only to serve Śrī Sītāpati—the Lord Śrī Sītā-Rāma, the Supreme Person beyond the beyond and sovereign of fourfold majesty. Enthrone the sacred image in the heart through mental worship. Lovingly adorn the image from head to foot and contemplate its beauty. Then place a full-length mirror before the image and behold it both directly and within the mirror. First look straight toward the image; then set the mirror before it, see the image in the mirror as well, and revel in the joy of beholding the two appearances. Establish in the heart that supremely adorned image of Śrī Rāghava, Sītā’s Beloved. Behold the image of that Divine Couple as the embodiment of the supreme essential reality. Attach the fourfold inner faculty—mind, intellect, awareness, and ego—to it and remain thoroughly absorbed. Continually behold adornments that are ever new and suited to the season; remain firmly engaged and let the heart go toward no other object. This alone is the essential principle embodied. The purport is: Remain forever absorbed in the beautiful divine image; know such awakening to be manifest attainment.
