[मूल — चौपाई] झझा झूठी रचना छोड़ो। वेद पुरान स्मृति सब जोड़ो॥ नीकि उपनीषद पुनि देखो। सिया राम परताप जु लेखो॥ [सुजन-प्रबोधिनी सरल टीका] श्री ग्रन्थकार जी झकार व्यंजन द्वारा आदेश करते हुये कहते हैं कि जो माया मयी झूठी रचना है, अर्थात मिथ्या भ्रम मय दृश्य है, इसको छोड़ो अर्थात त्यागो। इसीके त्यागने को वेद पुराण स्मृतियों आदि ने कहा है। अर्थात वेद पुराण स्मृतियां सब एकत्र करके अवलोकन करो समझो और अच्छी प्रकार रामतापनी आदि उपनिषदों को भी देखो और सबमें श्री सीताराम जी का प्रताप क्या है, स्वरूप क्या है, कैसा लिखा है। उसको देखो सुनो; समझो, तब न चूक पड़ेगा। परन्तु बिना भ्रम मय झूठी रचना छोड़े, श्री सीताराम जी का स्वरूप प्रताप नहीं देख पड़ेगा। इत्यादि, ‘जग नभ वाटिका रही है फल फूल रही धुवाँ कैसो और हर देख तू न भूल रे।’ गो० तु० दा०
[Root — Chaupai] Jhajhā: Abandon the false fabrication; bring together the Vedas, Purāṇas, and Smṛtis. Then examine the fine Upaniṣads; see what they write of the majesty of Siyā and Rāma. [Sujana-prabodhinī Simple Commentary] Through the consonant jha, the author commands: abandon—renounce—the false fabrication made of māyā, the visible appearance composed of illusory delusion. The Vedas, Purāṇas, Smṛtis, and other texts have taught its renunciation. In other words, bring the Vedas, Purāṇas, and Smṛtis together, examine and understand them; also study properly the Rāmatāpanī and other Upaniṣads. See in them all what is written about Śrī Sītā-Rāma Jī’s majesty, what their essential form is, and how it is described. Look, listen, and understand; then you will not go astray. But until the false fabrication made of delusion is abandoned, Śrī Sītā-Rāma Jī’s true form and majesty cannot be seen.
