Fresh English translation

Placing the clear dust of the revered guru’s feet lovingly upon his own brow, the author composed this excellent book, the Five Truths, to establish well-being. For qualified readers who seek the excellent Reality, it is as dear as life. It gives happiness in every way; understand its ordered mystery. With affection I bow in every manner to all saints. May that bow reach them continually, again and again; may they grant the Beloved’s ever-new radiance. Yugalānanya’s refuge, accompanied by natural and innate happiness, steadily desires residence in the Abode after abandoning the deer-like lure of corrupt lands. Citrakūṭa dwells in the heart together with sacred Kośalapura. Every other world is equal to sorrow, so their company has been abandoned. Victory, victory to Sītā and Rāma, and to the true guru, a compact mass of bliss, giver of deep repose and the wondrous forest of joy. On sacred Sarayū’s farther bank is a pure dwelling that always gives happiness. Remember Sītā and Raghubīra there, knowing every worldly pleasure to be sorrow. Having left the glorious Abode, the heart forever cries ‘Alas!’ May the body remain steady only to support residence for its sake. Meditating upon the lotus feet of the excellent guru, sacred Jīvārāma Sukhadhāma, the author sings Sītā and Rāma’s exceedingly incomparable, tender, lovely virtues. He took the name Yugalānanya Śaraṇa, the refuge of the Couple, and excellent residence in sacred Pramodavana gave his heart repose. Thus is completed the Artha-pañcaka composed by the revered Svāmī Yugalānanya Śaraṇa, follower of the infinitely venerable Svāmī Jīvārāma Sukhadhāma.
