One Doer and One Experiencer, Which is Consciousness - 4 Jan 2016
Saar (Essence)
Ananta emphasizes that there is no individual decision-maker, as consciousness is the sole doer. He guides the seeker to see that life flows spontaneously when the false sense of personal agency is relinquished.
There is no real life outside of satsang; all of this is just the same consciousness.
As a person you never exist, so the person never needs to make a decision.
There is only one doer and one experiencer, which is consciousness itself.

That's what I said even earlier, that very quickly the mind wants to go to qualitative aspects of decision making, but I want to keep you to the point of who is the one that has to make a decision. And somewhere this ends is that okay, I know I am awareness and I'm awareness and there is no real decision maker, but still in real life some decisions have to be made. This is the commentary of the mind which I hear often, but it's all rubbish because there is no real life outside of Satsang. All of this is just the same.
So the decisions which have to be made are being made by Consciousness itself. How does it decide? Only Consciousness knows. Sometimes it can seem like just moving on its own; sometimes we feel like some deep contemplation is deciding. As long as it is clear that there is no individual 'me', then there will be no trouble with decision-making.
Consciousness personally... how really Consciousness plays the person? Okay, I mean there's only Consciousness, therefore Consciousness plays the person or doesn't play here. How do we... the Consciousness... although the question is Consciousness is playing, so if it is a result of just leaving these thoughts, can you comment? Is Consciousness playing with a person? If it is following a thought, then it is Consciousness playing the person. If it is following the Satguru or the form in itself... so it's like your hand went up and down just now. Is that a decision or was it a spontaneous flow?
Okay, yes. If you decide to play the person, then you will follow your thoughts. Even if you don't, if you decide not to be the person, then you allow it to just flow. And then there is no need to make a decision at all, and yet decisions will happen. Your question was: as a person, do I need to make decisions? No, because as a person you never exist. Okay?
You have a decision at work, whether I should look for a job or stay with my current one. It's like that is an example of a significant decision. In the past, have you made a decision like this? When you look back at it, do you feel like it just flowed that way, or there was an individual decision that happened?

So how does that decision happen? Me looking for work... some thoughts came that your quality of life will be better.
So Consciousness playing as a person means that it is following thoughts, and yet it is only Consciousness. There is only one doer and one experiencer, which is Consciousness.
