समचरणदृष्टि विटेवरी साजिरी । तेथें माझी हरी वृत्ति राहो ॥१॥

English Translation
Beautiful is the even gaze of the Lord standing upon the brick. Let my mind rest there and nowhere else. I want nothing of this world's illusory objects; keep me from craving them, O God. Even the thrones of Brahma and the gods are beds of sorrow; never let my restless heart cling to those. Says Tuka, we have learned the secret: all rituals and merit are perishable.
