हिरा ठेवितां ऐरणीं । वांचे मारितां जो घणीं ॥१॥
तोचि मोल पावे खरा । करणीचा होय चुरा ॥ध्रु.॥
मोहरा होय तोचि अंगें । सूत न जळे ज्याचे संगें ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे तोचि संत । सोसी जगाचे आघात ॥३॥

English Translation · I.P. 914
IF a diamond survives, when you place it on an anvil and strike it with a hammer, that stone will fetch its price; while a false one is cruaned. That is a real gem, which, if you bind a thread upon it, will not suffer it to be burned. Tuka says, He is truly a saint who can endure the blows of the world.
