The Sense of Sin
॥
English Translation · I.P. 371
AS a fish pants out of the water, so pants my soul; my mind is chafed like that of one who cannot find a buried treasure. When a child is parted from his mother, you know how troubled he i8,'0 God! How often need I tell you what my state is; show me your feet which are the essence of all means ! This anxious care has scorched my heart; I cannot tell why I have been forgotten. Tuka says, You know all this, so be merciful, O God!
Tr. J. Nelson Fraser & K.B. Marathe (1909)
