Abhanga 317The Nature of God

God's Protecting Love

English Translation · I.P. 317

THERE arc plenty of poets from house to house, but no one knows the true taste of God’s favour. A noisy rogue delights in ornaments; he forgets the trouble they will bring him. Men ought to accept the benefits they can have for nothing. Tuka says, They know this, yet they continue blind.

Tr. J. Nelson Fraser & K.B. Marathe (1909)
