जाउँ कहाँ, ठौर है कहाँ देव! दुखित-दीनको? को कृपालु स्वामी-सारिखो, राखै सरनागत सब अँग बल-बिहीनको॥ १॥ गनिहि, गुनिहि साहिब लहै, सेवा समीचीनको। अधम-अगुन आलसिनको पालिबो फबि आयो रघुनायक नवीनको॥ २॥ मुखकै कहा कहौं, बिदित है जीकी प्रभु प्रबीनको। तिहू काल, तिहु लोकमें एक टेक रावरी तुलसीसे मन मलीनको॥ ३॥
Where can I go, God, and where is there a place for this afflicted, lowly one? What compassionate master is like you, sheltering a refugee who lacks strength in every limb? (1) Other masters obtain the wealthy and virtuous, whose service is proper. The ever-vigorous Lord of the Raghus alone finds it fitting to maintain the lowly, the virtue-less, and the lazy. (2) What can I say with my mouth? The wise Lord already knows what is in my heart. In all three times and all three worlds, one support alone belongs to someone as impure-minded as Tulsi: yours. (3)
