राम! रावरो नाम मेरो मातु-पितु है। सुजन-सनेही, गुरु-साहिब, सखा-सुहृद, राम-नाम प्रेम-पन अबिचल बितु है॥ १॥ सतकोटि चरित अपार दधिनिधि मथि लियो काढ़ि वामदेव नाम-घृतु है। नामको भरोसो-बल चारिहू फलको फल, सुमिरिये छाड़ि छल, भलो कृतु है॥ २॥ स्वारथ-साधक, परमारथ-दायक नाम, राम-नाम सारिखो न और हितु है। तुलसी सुभाव कही, साँचिये परैगी सही, सीतानाथ-नाम नित चितहूको चितु है॥ ३॥
Rāma, your Name is my mother and father, loving kinsman, teacher and master, friend and selfless well-wisher. My vow of love for Rāma’s Name is my immovable wealth. (1) Churning the boundless ocean of curds made of a hundred crores of deeds, Vāmadeva drew out the clarified butter of the Name. Trust in the Name and its strength is the fruit of all four human aims; remember it without deceit—this is the finest rite. (2) The Name accomplishes worldly aims and bestows the highest goal; there is no benefactor like Rāma’s Name. Tulsi said this from his very nature, so the seal of truth will fall upon it: Sītānātha’s Name is eternally the awareness even of the mind. (3)
