हरि-सम आपदा-हरन। नहि कोउ सहज कृपालु दुसह दुख-सागर-तरन॥ १॥ गज निज बल अवलोकि कमल गहि गयो सरन। दीन बचन सुनि चले गरुड़ तजि सुनाभ-धरन॥ २॥ द्रुपदसुताको लग्यो दुसासन नगन करन। ‘हा हरि पाहि’ कहत पूरे पट बिबिध बरन॥ ३॥ इहै जानि सुर-नर-मुनि-कोबिद सेवत चरन। तुलसिदास प्रभु को न अभय कियो नृग-उद्धरन॥ ४॥

No one removes calamity like Hari; there is no one else naturally compassionate who carries one across the unbearable ocean of sorrow. (1) When the elephant, seeing his own strength fail, took a lotus and sought refuge, the bearer of Sunābha, the discus, heard his humble words and set out, leaving Garuḍa behind. (2) When Duḥśāsana began to strip Drupada’s daughter naked, at her cry, ‘Ah, Hari, protect me!’ he supplied garments of many colors. (3) Knowing this, gods, humans, sages, and learned people serve his feet. Tulsidas, whom has the Lord, the deliverer of Nṛga, not made fearless? (4)
