Raghupati, Destroyer of Calamity

राग केदारा रघुपति बिपति-दवन। परम कृपालु, प्रनत-प्रतिपालक, पतित-पवन॥ १॥ कूर, कुटिल, कुलहीन, दीन, अति मलिन जवन। सुमिरत नाम राम पठये सब अपने भवन॥ २॥ गज-पिंगला-अजामिल-से खल गनै धौं कवन। तुलसिदास प्रभु केहि न दीन्हि गति जानकी-रवन॥ ३॥

Rāga Kedāra Raghupati destroys calamity. Supremely compassionate, guardian of the surrendered, he purifies the fallen. (1) Cruel, crooked, lowborn, poor—even utterly impure Yavanas: upon their remembering Rama’s Name, he sent them all to his own abode. (2) Who could count the wicked like the elephant, Piṅgalā, and Ajāmila? Tulsidas, to whom has the Lord, Jānakī’s beloved, not granted the goal? (3)
