There is no other worthy refuge equal to Sri Raghupati, remover of calamity. Whose nature is naturally to submit to his servant? Who bears causeless love for the surrendered? (1) He counts a servant’s slightest virtue as Mount Sumeru and, though seeing millions of faults, forgets them. Supremely compassionate, the wish-fulfilling jewel of devotees, holy in renown, he delivers the fallen. (2) Easy to reach upon remembrance, Hari hears a servant’s sorrow and sets out at once, not even taking care of his yellow robe. All the Puranas, Vedas, and Agamas bear witness; Drupada’s daughter and the elephant know it. (3) Poets and learned ones untouched by greed, delusion, pride, and Kama sing his fame. Tulsidas, abandon every hope and worship the Lord of Kosala, deliverer of the sage’s wife. (4)
