श्रीहरि-गुरु-पद-कमल भजहु मन तजि अभिमान। जेहि सेवत पाइय हरि सुख-निधान भगवान॥ १॥ परिवा प्रथम प्रेम बिनु राम-मिलन अति दूरि। जद्यपि निकट हृदय निज रहे सकल भरिपूरि॥ २॥ दुइज द्वैत-मति छाड़ि चरहि महि-मंडल धीर। बिगत मोह-माया-मद हृदय बसत रघुबीर॥ ३॥ तीज त्रिगन-पर परम पुरुष श्रीरमन मुकुंद। गुन सुभाव त्यागे बिनु दुरलभ परमानंद॥ ४॥ चौथि चारि परिहरहु बुद्धि-मन-चित-अहँकार। बिमल बिचार परमपद निज सुख सहज उदार॥ ५॥ पाँचइ पाँच परस, रस, सब्द, गंध अरु रूप। इन्ह कर कहा न कीजिये, बहुरि परब भव-कूप॥ ६॥ छठ षटबरग करिय जय जनकसुता-पित लागि। रघुपति-कृपा-बारि बिनु नहिं बुताइ लोभागि॥ ७॥ सातै सप्तधातु-निरमित तनु क्रिय बिचार। तेहि तनु केर एक फल, कीजै पर-उपकार॥ ८॥ आठइँ आठ प्रकृति-पर निरबिकार श्रीराम। केहि प्रकार पाइय हरि, हृदय बसहिं बहु काम॥ ९॥ नवमी नवद्वार-पुर बसि जेहि न आपु भल कीन्ह। ते नर जोनि अनेक भ्रमत दारुन दुख लीन्ह॥ १०॥ दसइँ दसहु कर संजम जो न करिय जिय जानि। साधन बृथा होइ सब मिलहि न सारँगपानि॥ ११॥ एकादसी एक मन बस कै सेवहु जाइ। सोइ ब्रत कर फल पावै आवागमन नसाइ॥ १२॥ द्वादसि दान देहु अस, अभय होइ त्रैलोक। परहित-निरत सो पारन बहुरि न ब्यापत सोक॥ १३॥ तेरसि तीन अवस्था तजहु, भजहु भगवंत। मन-क्रम-बचन-अगोचर, ब्यापक, व्याप्य, अनंत॥ १४॥ चौदसि चौदह भुवन अचर-चर-रूप गोपाल। भेद गये बिनु रघुपति अति न हरहि जग-जाल॥ १५॥ पूनों प्रेम-भगति-रस हरि-रस जानहिं दास। सम, सीतल, गत-मान, ग्यानरत, बिषय-उदास॥ १६॥ त्रिबिध सूल होलिय जरै, खेलिय अब फागु। जो जिय चहसि परमसुख, तौ यहि मारग लागु॥ १७॥ श्रुति-पुरान-बुध-संमत चाँचरि चरित मुरारि। करि बिचार भव तरिय, परिय न कबहुँ जमधारि॥ १८॥ संसय-समन, दमन दुख, सुखनिधान हरि एक। साधु-कृपा बिनु मिलहि न, करिय उपाय अनेक॥ १९॥ भव सागर कहँ नाव सुद्ध संतनके चरन। तुलसिदास प्रयास बिनु मिलहि राम दुखहरन॥ २०॥
Mind, abandon pride and worship the lotus feet of Hari and the guru; serving them one attains Lord Hari, treasury of joy. (1) First, like the first lunar day, comes love; without love, meeting Rama is very distant, though he dwells near, filling one’s heart. (2) Second, abandon dual vision and move steadily over the earth; the Hero of Raghu dwells in a heart free of delusion, Maya, and pride. (3) Third, Mukunda, Lord of Sri, is beyond the three qualities; without leaving their nature, supreme bliss is hard to gain. (4) Fourth, relinquish intellect, mind, awareness, and ego; pure discernment reveals the generous, innate joy of the highest state. (5) Fifth, do not obey touch, taste, sound, smell, and form, lest you fall again into becoming’s well. (6) Sixth, conquer the six enemies for Janaki’s Lord; without Raghupati’s grace-water, greed’s fire is not quenched. (7) Seventh, consider the body made of seven constituents; its single fruit is service to others. (8) Eighth, immutable Rama is beyond eightfold nature; how can Hari be attained while many desires inhabit the heart? (9) Ninth, one who dwells in the nine-gated city without securing one’s good wanders many wombs and receives fierce pain. (10) Tenth, if one does not knowingly restrain the ten, every discipline is vain and Sarangapani is not found. (11) Eleventh, master the one mind and serve the One; this vow yields its fruit and destroys coming and going. (12) Twelfth, give such a gift that the three worlds become fearless; its completion is devotion to others’ good, after which sorrow does not pervade. (13) Thirteenth, leave the three states and worship the Lord, beyond mind, deed, and word, pervading, pervaded, infinite. (14) Fourteenth, Gopala is the moving and unmoving form of the fourteen worlds; without the end of division, Raghupati does not remove the world-net. (15) At fullness, servants know Hari’s nectar as the nectar of loving devotion: equal, cool, prideless, absorbed in knowledge, aloof from objects. (16) Burn the three pains in the Holi fire and now play Phag; if you desire supreme joy, enter this path. (17) The Chanchari is Murari’s deeds, approved by Veda, Purana, and wise; reflect and cross becoming, never falling into Yama’s stream. (18) Hari alone ends doubt and pain and is joy’s treasury; despite many means, he is not found without a saint’s grace. (19) Saints’ pure feet are the boat across becoming’s ocean; Tulsi, Rama the grief-remover is found without strain. (20)
