जो मोहिं राम लागते मीठे। तौ नवरस षटरस-रस अनरस ह्वै जाते सब सीठे॥ १॥ बंचक बिषय बिबिध तनु धरि अनुभवे सुने अरु डीठे। यह जानत हौं हृदय आपने सपने न अघाइ उबीठे॥ २॥ तुलसिदास प्रभु सों एकहि बल बचन कहत अति ढीठे। नामकी लाज राम करुनाकर केहि न दिये कर चीठे॥ ३॥
If Rama alone had tasted sweet to me, the nine poetic flavors and six flavors of food would all have become tasteless and stale. (1) In various bodies I have experienced, heard, and seen that sense objects are deceivers. I know this in my own heart, yet not even in a dream have I become sated and disgusted with them. (2) Tulsidas speaks these exceedingly bold words to the Lord upon one strength alone: compassionate Rama, for the honor of the Name, to whom have you not given a signed warrant of release? (3)
