पावन प्रेम राम-चरन-कमल जनम लाहु परम। रामनाम लेत होत, सुलभ सकल धरम॥ १॥ जोग, मख, बिबेक, निरत, बेद-बिदित करम। करिबे कहँ कटु कठोर, सुनत मधुर, नरम॥ २॥ तुलसी सुनि, जानि-बूझि, भूलहि जनि भरम। तेहि प्रभुको होहि, जाहि सब ही की सरम॥ ३॥
Pure love for Rama’s lotus feet is the supreme gain of birth. By taking Rama’s Name, every dharma becomes readily accessible. (1) Yoga, sacrifice, discernment, discipline, and works taught by the Vedas sound sweet and gentle, but are bitter and hard to perform. (2) Tulsi, having heard, known, and understood, do not wander forgetfully in delusion. Belong to that Lord who protects the honor of everyone. (3)
