बीर महा अवराधिये, साधे सिधि होय। सकल काम पूरन करै, जानै सब कोय॥ १॥ बेगि, बिलंब न कीजिये लीजै उपदेस। बीज महा मंत्र जपिये सोई, जो जपत महेस॥ २॥ प्रेम-बारि-तरपन भलो, घृत सहज सनेहु। संसय-समिध, अगिनि छमा, ममता-बलि देहु॥ ३॥ अघ-उचाटि, मन बस करे, मारै मद मार। आकरषै सुख-संपदा-संतोष-बिचार॥ ४॥ जिन्ह यहि भाँति भजन कियो, मिले रघुपति ताहि। तुलसिदास प्रभुपथ चढ़्यौ, जौ लेहु निबाहि॥ ५॥
Worship the great Hero: when he is won, accomplishment follows. He fulfills every desire—everyone knows it. (1) Be quick; do not delay. Take this instruction: repeat that seed, the great mantra which Mahesha repeats. (2) Make love’s water the fine libation and natural affection the ghee; make doubt the fuel stick, forgiveness the fire, and offer possessiveness as the sacrifice. (3) It drives out sin, brings the mind under rule, strikes down pride and Mara, and draws toward itself happiness, prosperity, contentment, and discernment. (4) Those who worshiped in this manner met the Lord of Raghu. Tulsidas too has set foot on the Lord’s path—if only he can persevere to the end. (5)
