राग रामकली महाराज रामादरयो धन्य सोई। गरुअ, गुनरासि, सरबग्य, सुकृती, सूर, सील-निधि, साधु तेहि सम न कोई॥ १॥ उपल, केवट, कीस, भालु, निसिचर, सबरि, गीध सम-दम-दया-दान-हीने। नाम लिये राम किये परम पावन सकल, नर तरत तिनके गुनगान कीने॥ २॥ ब्याध अपराधकी साध राखी कहा, पिंगलै कौन मति भगति भेई। कौन धौं सोमजाजी अजामिल अधम, कौन गजराज धौं बाजपेयी॥ ३॥ पांडु-सुत, गोपिका, बिदुर, कुबरी, सबरि, सुद्ध किये सुद्धता लेस कैसो। प्रेम लखि कृस्न किये आपने तिनहुको, सुजस संसार हरिहरको जैसो॥ ४॥ कोल, खस, भील, जवनादि खल राम कहि, नीच ह्वै ऊँच पद को न पायो। दीन-दुख-दवन श्रीरवन करुना-भवन, पतित-पावन विरद बेद गायो॥ ५॥ मंदमति, कुटिल, खल-तिलक तुलसी सरिस, भो न तिहुँ लोक तिहुँ काल कोऊ। नामकी कानि पहिचानि पन आपनो, ग्रसित कलि-व्याल राख्यो सरन सोऊ॥ ६॥
Rāga Rāmakalī Blessed is the one honored by sovereign Rama: weighty, a treasury of virtues, all-knowing, meritorious, heroic, an abode of character—no saint equals him. (1) Stone, boatman, monkey, bear, night-roamer, Shabari, and vulture were without restraint, discipline, compassion, or giving; on their taking the Name Rama made them all supremely pure, and people cross over by singing their virtues. (2) What spiritual discipline did the criminal hunter keep? What understanding or devotion arose in Pingala? What Soma sacrifice did base Ajamila perform, and what Vajapeya did the elephant king perform? (3) How much purity did the Pandavas, cowherd women, Vidura, Kubja, and Shabari possess when he purified them? Seeing their love, Krishna made all three his own, and their fair fame in the world became like that of Hari and Hara. (4) Kol, Khas, Bhil, Yavana, and other villains—who, though low, failed to attain a high station by saying ‘Rama’? Destroyer of the poor one’s pain, lover of Shri, abode of compassion: the Vedas sing his title ‘Purifier of the fallen.’ (5) In the three worlds and three times there has been no dull-witted, crooked crown of villains like Tulsi. Yet, recognizing the Name’s honor and his own pledge, Rama sheltered even him when seized by the serpent of Kali. (6)
