अबलौं नसानी, अब न नसैहौं। राम-कृपा भव-निसा सिरानी, जागे फिरि न डसैहौं॥ १॥ पायेउँ नाम चारु चिंतामनि, उर कर तें न खसैहौं। स्यामरूप सुचि रुचिर कसौटी, चित कंचनहि कसैहौं॥ २॥ परबस जानि हँस्यो इन इंद्रिन, निज बस ह्वै न हँसैहौं। मन मधुकर पनकै तुलसी रघुपति-पद-कमल बसैहौं॥ ३॥
Until now I was lost; now I will not be lost. By Rama’s grace the night of becoming has ended; awake, I will not spread its bed again. (1) I have obtained the beautiful wish-granting jewel of the Name; I will not let it slip from the hand of my heart. Making the pure, lovely dark form my touchstone, I will test the gold of my mind. (2) Knowing me subject to them, these senses laughed at me; with myself now under my own rule, I will not let them laugh again. Tulsi vows to make the bee of his mind dwell in the lotus feet of the Lord of Raghu. (3)
