Rama did me good through his own goodness. I am hostile to my Master, yet the Master works for his servant’s good. (1) Who is greater than Rama, and who is smaller than I? Who is as genuine as Rama, and who as false as I? (2) The world calls me Rama’s servant, and I let myself be called so. Though this is so great an offense, his heart has not turned from me. (3) Tulsi, a straw, though utterly low, rises upon the water’s head; the water does not drown it, knowing it as something nourished by itself. (4)
