भलो भली भाँति है जो मेरे कहे लागिहै। मन राम-नामसों सुभाय अनुरागिहै॥ १॥ राम-नामको प्रभाउ जानि जूड़ी आगिहै। सहित सहाय कलिकाल भीरु भागिहै॥ २॥ राम-नामसों बिराग, जोग, जप जागिहै। बाम बिधि भाल हू न करम दाग दागिहै॥ ३॥ राम-नाम मोदक सनेह सुधा पागिहै। पाइ परितोष तू न द्वार द्वार बागिहै॥ ४॥ राम-नाम काम-तरु जोइ जोइ माँगिहै। तुलसिदास स्वारथ परमारथ न खाँगिहै॥ ५॥
Mind, if you follow what I say and love Rama’s name by your very nature, you will prosper in every way. (1) Know the power of Rama’s name: it is fire against numbing cold, and frightened Kali will flee with all his helpers. (2) Through Rama’s name, dispassion, yoga and repetition will awaken; even contrary Fate will not brand the stain of deeds upon your brow. (3) Steep the sweetmeat of Rama’s name in the nectar of love; gaining contentment, you will no longer wander door to door. (4) Rama’s name is the wish-fulfilling tree—whatever you ask of it, Tulsidas, neither worldly nor highest good will be lacking. (5)
