Remember with love the name of King Rama. It is provision for the provisionless and friend to the helpless. (1) It is fortune for the unfortunate and virtue for the virtueless, one who values the poor, the compassionate donor to the lowly. (2) It is lineage for the low-born—the Veda, I have heard, bears witness; hands and feet for the crippled, and an eye for the blind. (3) It is mother and father to the hungry, support to the unsupported, a bridge across the ocean of becoming and the cause of the essence of happiness. (4) There is no other purifier of the fallen like Rama’s name. Remembering it, even barren Tulsi became fertile ground. (5)
