श्रीरामचंद्र कृपालु भजु मन हरण भवभय दारुणं। नवकंज-लोचन, कंज-मुख, कर-कंज, पद कंजारुणं॥ १॥ कंदर्प अगणित अमित छवि, नवनील नीरद सुंदरं। पट पीत मानहु तड़ित रुचि शुचि नौमि जनक सुतावरं॥ २॥ भजु दीनबंधु दिनेश दानव-दैत्य-बंश निकंदनं। रघुनंद आनदकंद कोशलचंद दशरथ-नंदनं॥ ३॥ सिर मुकुट कुंडल तिलक चारु उदारु अंग विभूषणं। आजानुभुज शर-चाप-धर, संग्राम-जित-खरदूषणां॥ ४॥ इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर-शेष-मुनि-मन-रंजनं। मम हृदय कंज निवास कुरु, कामादि खल-दल-गंजनं॥ ५॥
O mind, worship compassionate Shri Ramachandra, remover of the dreadful fear of becoming; his eyes are new lotuses, his face and hands lotuses, and his feet crimson lotuses. (1) His immeasurable beauty exceeds countless Loves; he is lovely as a fresh dark-blue raincloud. His yellow robe gleams like lightning—I bow to the stainless bridegroom of Janaka’s daughter. (2) Worship the poor man’s friend, the sun, uprooter of demon and Daitya lineages; delight of Raghu, root of bliss, moon of Kosala, Dasharatha’s son. (3) Upon his head are crown, earrings and a lovely tilak; splendid ornaments grace his noble limbs. His arms reach his knees, he bears arrow and bow, and in battle he conquered Khara and Dushana. (4) Thus speaks Tulsidas: O delighter of the minds of Shankara, Shesha and sages, crusher of the villainous host beginning with desire, dwell within the lotus of my heart. (5)
