कबहुँक अंब, अवसर पाइ। मेरिऔ सुधि द्याइबी, कछु करुन-कथा चलाइ॥ १॥ दीन, सब अँगहीन, छीन, मलीन, अघी अघाइ। नाम लै भरै उदर एक प्रभु-दासी-दास कहाइ॥ २॥ बूझिहैं ‘सो है कौन’, कहिबी नाम दसा जनाइ। सुनत राम कृपालुके मेरी बिगरिऔ बनि जाइ॥ ३॥ जानकी जगजननि जनकी किये बचन सहाइ। तरै तुलसीदास भव तव नाथ-गुन-गन गाइ॥ ४॥
Mother, when you someday find an opportunity, begin some compassionate conversation and remind him of me as well. (1) There is a poor man, bereft of every faculty, weak, defiled and steeped in sin. He fills his belly by taking the name of the Lord and calling himself the servant of your servant. (2) He will ask, ‘Who is that?’ Tell him my name and make my condition known. The moment compassionate Rama hears, even what is ruined for me will be set right. (3) Janaki, Mother of the World, help your servant by these words. Tulsidas will cross becoming as he sings the multitude of your Lord’s virtues. (4)
