जयति जय शत्रु-करि-केसरी शत्रुहन, शत्रुतम-तुहिनहर किरणकेतू। देव-महिदेव-महि-धेनु-सेवक सुजन-सिद्ध-मुनि-सकल-कल्याण-हेतू॥ १॥ जयति सर्वांगसुंदर सुमित्रा-सुवन, भुवन-विख्यात-भरतानुगामी। वर्मचर्मासि-धनु-बाण-तूणीर-धर शत्रु-संकट-समय यत्प्रणामी॥ २॥ जयति लवणाम्बुनिधि-कुंभसंभव महादनुज-दुर्जनदवन, दुरितहारी। लक्ष्मणानुज, भरत-राम-सीता-चरण-रेणु-भूषित-भाल-तिलकधारी॥ ३॥ जयति श्रुतिकीर्ति-वल्लभ सुदुर्लभ सुलभ नमत नर्मद भुक्तिमुक्तिदाता। दासतुलसी चरण-शरण सीदत विभो, पाहि दीनार्त्त-संताप-हाता॥ ४॥
Victory, victory to Shatrughna, lion against the elephants of enemies, a radiant sun that removes the deep darkness and frost of foes; servant of gods, Brahmins, earth and cows, cause of every welfare for the good, Siddhas and sages. (1) Victory to Sumitra's son, beautiful in every limb, world-renowned follower of Bharata; bearing armor, shield, sword, bow, arrows and quiver, to whom one bows in a time of danger from enemies. (2) Victory to him who, like pot-born Agastya against the ocean, subdued Lavana and crushed great demons and villains, remover of sin; younger brother of Lakshmana, whose forehead bears as its tilak the dust of Bharata's, Rama's and Sita's feet. (3) Victory to Shrutakirti's beloved, very hard for the wicked yet easy for those who bow to reach, giver of delight, enjoyment and liberation. Mighty Lord, your servant Tulsi languishes after taking refuge at your feet; protect him, remover of the anguish of the poor and afflicted. (4)
