Victory to most fortunate Bharata, discerning bee relishing the nectar of the lotus feet of the Daughter of Earth's beloved; ornament of the world and of the solar race, jewel among rulers, devoted to Ramachandra. (1) Victory to him who renounced the station and happiness of great kingship and empire, difficult even for Indra, Kubera and the rest to obtain; foremost manifest example of a vow sharp as a sword's edge, whose pure-minded young bride is steeped in love for her Lord. (2) Victory to him whose heart was governed by unconditioned devotion, who walked to Mount Chitrakut for his brother's good; minister to the sandals as king, guardian of the earth, steadfast bearer of the burden of highest dharma and a great, excellent hero. (3) Victory to him whose bow and arrow Hanuman extolled during the crisis of fetching the life-restoring herb; his arm-strength is immense, his prowess measureless and incomparable, and only Janaki's Lord knows his hidden course. (4) Victory to him who removed the pride of hosts of Gandharvas in the battle-court and then made them singers of Rama's virtues; new-cloud-colored one for the chakor bird of Mandavi's heart, giver of fearlessness, in whom Tulsidas takes refuge. (5)
