Victory to the abode of auspiciousness, remover of the world's burden, Shiva embodied in a monkey's form; under the guise of a garland of flames from Rama's fire of wrath, he destroys the moths that roam the darkness. (1) Victory to the dwelling of Marut's and Anjani's joy, sole friend in the sorrow of Sugriva, whose neck was bowed; destroyer of the furious doomsday fire of arrogant demons, ocean of joy for Siddhas, gods and the good. (2) Victory to the foremost among Rudras and among those revered by the world, world-renowned emperor of warriors; foremost among singers of Sama and conquerors of desire, serving Rama's good and following Rama's devotees. (3) Victory to the victor in battle, bearer of Rama's message, speaker of Ayodhya's welfare and good news; a wish-fulfilling tree that cooled Bharata and the other men and women scorched by the sun of separation from Rama. (4) Victory to him who, seeing Sita's beloved seated upon the throne, danced in overflowing joy. With the splendor of Rama's sovereignty, may he forever wander Rama's city in Tulsi's mind. (5)
