जयति मर्कटाधीश, मृगराज-विक्रम, महादेव, मुद-मंगलालय, कपाली। मोह-मद-क्रोध-कामादि-खल-संकुला, घोर संसार-निशि किरणमाली॥ १॥ जयति लसदंजनाऽदितिज, कपि-केसरी-कश्यप-प्रभव, जगदार्तिहर्त्ता। लोक-लोकप-कोक-कोकनद-शोकहर, हंस हनुमान कल्याणकर्ता॥ २॥ जयति सुविशाल-विकराल-विग्रह, वज्रसार सर्वांग भुजदण्ड भारी। कुलिशनख, दशनवर लसत, बालधि बृहद, वैरि-शस्त्रास्त्रधर कुधरधारी॥ ३॥ जयति जानकी-शोच-संताप-मोचन, रामलक्ष्मणानंद-वारिज-विकासी। कीश-कौतुक-केलि-लूम-लंका-दहन, दलन कानन तरुण तेजरासी॥ ४॥ जयति पाथोधि-पाषाण-जलयानकर, यातुधान-प्रचुर-हर्ष-हाता। दुष्ट रावण-कुंभकर्ण-पाकारिजित-मर्मभित्, कर्म-परिपाक-दाता॥ ५॥ जयति भुवनैकभूषण, विभीषणवरद, विहित कृत राम-संग्राम साका। पुष्पकारूढ़ सौमित्रि-सीता-सहित, भानु-कुलभानु-कीरति-पताका॥ ६॥ जयति पर-यंत्रमंत्राभिचार-ग्रसन, कारमन-कूट-कृत्यादि-हंता। शाकिनी-डाकिनी-पूतना-प्रेत-वेताल-भूत-प्रमथ-यूथ-यंता॥ ७॥ जयति वेदान्तविद विविध-विद्या-विशद, वेद-वेदांगविद ब्रह्मवादी। ज्ञान-विज्ञान-वैराग्य-भाजन विभो, विमल गुण गनति शुकनारदादी॥ ८॥ जयति काल-गुण-कर्म-माया-मथन, निश्चलज्ञान, व्रत-सत्यरत, धर्मचारी। सिद्ध-सुरवृंद-योगींद्र-सेवित सदा, दास तुलसी प्रणत भय-तमारी॥ ९॥
Victory to the lord of monkeys, lion in valor, great god, abode of joy and auspiciousness, skull-bearing Shiva; a sun whose rays end the dreadful night of worldly existence, crowded with villains such as delusion, pride, anger and desire. (1) Victory to the shining son of Anjani as Aditi and monkey-lion Kesari as Kashyapa, remover of the world's anguish; ending the grief of the chakva birds and lotuses that are the worlds and their guardians, Hanuman, swan of discernment and maker of welfare. (2) Victory to the immense, terrifying form, every limb hard as diamond, with massive arms; thunderbolt nails, splendid teeth, a great tail, bearing weapons, missiles and mountains against the foe. (3) Victory to the remover of Janaki's grief and burning pain, who made the lotuses of Rama's and Lakshmana's joy bloom; in a monkey's playful sport he burned Lanka with his tail, laid waste its grove and blazed like the young sun. (4) Victory to him who made stones into vessels upon the ocean and destroyed the demons' abundant delight; who struck the vital places of wicked Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Indrajit and gave them the ripened fruit of their deeds. (5) Victory to the one ornament of the worlds, granter of a boon to Vibhishana, who accomplished great exploits in Rama's war; riding the Pushpaka with Lakshmana and Sita, he is the banner of the glory of Rama, sun of the solar race. (6) Victory to him who swallows enemies' machines, spells and sorcery, and destroys secret killing rites and destructive workings; controller of hosts of Shakinis, Dakinis, Putanas, ghosts, Vetalas, spirits and Pramathas. (7) Victory to the knower of Vedanta, accomplished in many sciences, knower of Veda and Vedanga, speaker of Brahman; mighty vessel of knowledge, realization and dispassion, whose stainless virtues Shuka, Narada and the rest recount. (8) Victory to him who churns down time, qualities, karma and maya; whose knowledge is unwavering, whose vow is truth, who walks in dharma; ever served by Siddhas, hosts of gods and lords of yogis.
