Victory to the moon born from the ocean of Anjani's womb, who delights the water-lilies of the gods' families; who gives joy to the chakor birds of Kesari's lovely eyes and removes the grief and burning pain of all peoples. (1) Victory, victory to the child-monkey who, in playful wonder, swallowed the disk of the rising sun; who humbled the pride of Rahu, the Sun, Indra and his thunderbolt, removes the fear of those who seek refuge, and sustains the worlds. (2) Victory to the steadfast hero of battle, devoted to Raghubira, jewel among gods, incarnation of Rudra and guardian of the world; whose body embodies the blessings of Brahmins, gods, perfected beings and sages, whose qualities are stainless, and who is the ordainer, an ocean of wisdom.
