Now awaken, mind, and go to Chitrakut. Kali is enraged, the auspicious path has vanished, and the grime of delusion and illusion flaunts itself and grows. (1) Look upon the ground marked by Rama's feet; behold the forest where Raghubara wandered. See the mountain peaks that end becoming and crush the hosts of deceit, hypocrisy and pride. (2) There the fathers of the world—the Lords Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva—were born, abandoning the deceits of manifestation. Entering that hermitage only once, Partha and Nala were freed from grief. (3) Do not delay, discerning mind; regard each coming moment as equal to the years already gone. Go and repeat that mantra by which Hara, repeating it, became ageless and deathless even while consuming deadly poison. (4) Daily perform the sacrifice of repeating Rama's name, bathing in the Payasvini and drinking its sacred water. Rama will fulfill your heart's desire and, through this joyful practice, effortlessly grant the great fruit. (5) Kamadgiri is a wish-fulfilling jewel and wish-giving tree, shining age after age upon the earth. Tulsidas, understand it as especially meant for you: one trust, one love, one sole strength. (6)
