Serve the pollen of Shiva's lotus feet, the wish-fulfilling cow that bestows every blessing. (1) Fair as camphor, generous in compassion, essence of worldly existence, wearing the lord of serpents as a garland. (2) Birthplace of happiness, of boundless greatness, without qualities yet lord of qualities, formless. (3) Three-eyed Mahesha, crusher of Love, a risen sun against the frost of ego. (4) The excellent young moon shines upon his crown; lord of the Pramathas, he removes the grief of the three worlds. (5) For those on whose brows Fate has written no good destiny, the compassionate Lord of Kashi himself becomes their destination. (6) Who else is a benefactor like Hara? When gods and demons burned, he drank the poison. (7) Though one devise many methods for many aeons, without Shambhu's grace there is no discernment concerning worldly existence. (8) Abode of realization, beloved of the Mountain's daughter, says Tulsidas, quiet my fear. (9)
