सिव! सिव! होइ प्रसन्न करु दाया। करुनामय उदार कीरति, बलि जाउँ हरहु निज माया॥ १॥ जलज-नयन, गुन-अयन, मयन-रिपु, महिमा जान न कोई। बिनु तव कृपा राम-पद-पंकज, सपनेहुँ भगति न होई॥ २॥ रिषय, सिद्ध, मुनि, मनुज, दनुज, सुर, अपर जीव जग माहीं। तव पद बिमुख न पार पाव कोउ, कलप कोटि चलि जाहीं॥ ३॥ अहिभूषन, दूषन-रिपु-सेवक, देव-देव, त्रिपुरारी। मोह-निहार-दिवाकर संकर, सरन सोक-भयहारी॥ ४॥ गिरिजा-मन-मानस-मराल, कासीस, मसान-निवासी। तुलसिदास हरि-चरन-कमल-बर, देहु भगति अबिनासी॥ ५॥
O Shiva, O Shiva, be pleased and show compassion. Your fame is compassionate and generous; I offer myself to you - remove your own maya. (1) Lotus-eyed, abode of virtues, enemy of Love: no one knows your greatness. Without your grace there is not even dreamlike devotion to Rama's lotus feet. (2) Seers, perfected beings, sages, humans, demons, gods and every other creature in the world - turned away from your feet, none reaches the farther shore though ten million aeons pass. (3) Adorned with serpents, servant of the enemy of Dushana, God of gods, destroyer of Tripura; Shankara, sun against the frost of delusion, your refuge removes grief and fear. (4) Swan in the mind-lake of Girija, Lord of Kashi, dweller in the cremation ground: give Tulsidas the boon of imperishable devotion to Hari's lotus feet. (5)
