को जाँचिये संभु तजि आन। दीनदयालु भगत-आरति-हर, सब प्रकार समरथ भगवान॥ १॥ कालकूट-जुर जरत सुरासुर, निज पन लागि किये बिष पान। दारुन दनुज, जगत-दुखदायक, मारेउ त्रिपुर एक ही बान॥ २॥ जो गति अगम महामुनि दुर्लभ, कहत संत, श्रुति, सकल पुरान। सो गति मरन-काल अपने पुर, देत सदासिव सबहिं समान॥ ३॥ सेवत सुलभ, उदार कलपतरु, पारबती-पति परम सुजान। देहु काम-रिपु राम-चरन-रति, तुलसिदास कहँ कृपानिधान॥ ४॥
Whom else should one petition after leaving Shambhu? He is compassionate to the poor, removes the anguish of devotees, and is a Lord capable in every way. (1) When gods and demons burned in the fever of the Kalakuta poison, he kept his pledge and drank it. With a single arrow he destroyed Tripura, the terrible demon that afflicted the world. (2) That state which saints, scripture and all the Puranas call inaccessible and difficult even for great sages, Sadashiva grants equally to everyone who dies in his city. (3) He is easy to reach through service, a generous wish-fulfilling tree, Parvati's all-knowing lord. O enemy of desire, treasury of grace, give Tulsidas love for Rama's feet. (4)
