English Translation
In the service of the powerful one, there is never any ruin. One should not test the patience of Panduranga. Consider Your own nature carefully and come to dwell within. If You leave me exposed, my mind swings between fear, elation, and resentment. Says Tuka, only then will the verdict become clear, when the longing for Your sight yields auspicious fame.

In the service of the mighty one there is never any ruin. Do not test my patience to the end, Panduranga. Look at my state as it truly is, and judge it well. Come inside me; make your home there. If you leave me out in the open, my mind shakes with fear. It swings between joy and resentment. Tuka says: only then will the verdict be clear, when the longing for your sight bears its good and shining name.
What it means
Tukaram is pressing Panduranga not to keep him waiting any longer. He starts from confidence: whoever serves the strong one is never undone, so it is safe to ask boldly. He wants God to look honestly at his condition and come to dwell within him, because being left exposed and on his own throws his mind back and forth between fear, elation, and resentment. The point is that a settled inner life requires God's presence, not the devotee's effort alone. Tuka adds that the matter is only decided well when his hunger to see God comes to good name and fruit.
