English Translation

No rift has occurred between You and me, O Vitthal. However anxious I may feel, the account stands fair before all. What was written from the beginning has now come into my hands. Says Tuka, there is no need for me to speak; the matter settles itself.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

No break has come between me and You, O Vitthal. However anxious I may feel, the account stands fair before all. What was written from the start has now come into my hands. Tuka says: I need not speak; the matter settles itself.

What it means

Tukaram declares his tie to Vitthal intact, no rupture, whatever his moods suggest. He admits to spells of anxiety, but insists the reckoning between them is clean and open for any witness to see. He reads his present condition as the fulfillment of something fixed long ago, a destiny now placed in his hand. Because of that, he feels no need to plead or argue his case. The note is quiet confidence: the relationship is settled at the root, so it resolves on its own without his speaking.
