திருவேங்கடமுடையானுக்கு அடிமை செய்யவேண்டும்

ஒழிவு இல் காலம் எல்லாம் உடனாய் மன்னி வழு இலா அடிமை செய்யவேண்டும் நாம் தெழி குரல் அருவித் திருவேங்கடத்து எழில் கொள் சோதி எந்தை தந்தை தந்தைக்கே (1)

Through every time without cessation, abiding together with him, we must render faultless service to the beautiful Radiance at sacred Vēṅkaṭam, where waterfalls roar—Father of my father’s father.

எந்தை தந்தை தந்தை தந்தை தந்தைக்கும் முந்தை வானவர் வானவர் கோனொடும் சிந்து பூ மகிழும் திருவேங்கடத்து அந்தம் இல் புகழ்க் கார் எழில் அண்ணலே (2)

He is primordial Lord to my father, his father, and every father before; Lord also of the ancient heavenly ones and their king. Cloud-dark Master of endless fame, he dwells at sacred Vēṅkaṭam, where fallen flowers spread joy.

அண்ணல் மாயன் அணி கொள் செந்தாமரைக் கண்ணன் செங்கனி வாய்க் கருமாணிக்கம் தெள் நிறை சுனை நீர்த் திருவேங்கடத்து எண் இல் தொல் புகழ் வானவர் ஈசனே (3)

The wondrous Master has lovely red-lotus eyes, a red-fruit mouth, and the darkness of a precious jewel. Ancient Lord of heaven’s gods and of incalculable fame, he dwells at sacred Vēṅkaṭam amid springs full of limpid water.

ஈசன் வானவர்க்கு என்பன் என்றால் அது தேசமோ திருவேங்கடத்தானுக்கு? நீசனேன் நிறைவு ஒன்றும் இலேன் என்கண் பாசம் வைத்த பரம் சுடர்ச் சோதிக்கே (4)

If I call him “Lord of the heavenly ones,” is that any glory for the Lord of sacred Vēṅkaṭam? I am low and possess no completeness, yet the Supreme Flame-Radiance has placed his affection upon me.

சோதி ஆகி எல்லா உலகும் தொழும் ஆதிமூர்த்தி என்றால் அளவு ஆகுமோ வேதியர் முழு வேதத்து அமுதத்தை தீது இல் சீர்த் திருவேங்கடத்தானையே? (5)

Would it measure him to say, “He is Radiance, the primordial Form worshipped by every world”? The Lord of faultlessly glorious Vēṅkaṭam is nectar within the Vedic reciters’ complete Veda.

வேம் கடங்கள் மெய்மேல் வினை முற்றவும் தாங்கள் தங்கட்கு நல்லனவே செய்வார் வேங்கடத்து உறைவார்க்கு நம என்னல் ஆம் கடமைஅது சுமந்தார்கட்கே (6)

Though fierce karmas ripen upon their very bodies, they do only what is good for others. Our duty is to say “obeisance” to those who dwell at Vēṅkaṭam and carry the burden of service.

சுமந்து மா மலர் நீர் சுடர் தூபம் கொண்டு அமர்ந்து வானவர் வானவர் கோனொடும் நமன்று எழும் திருவேங்கடம் நங்கட்குச் சமன் கொள் வீடு தரும் தடங் குன்றமே (7)

Bearing great flowers, water, flame, and incense, the celestials and their king settle there and rise in worship. Sacred Vēṅkaṭam, the broad hill, will grant us liberation of perfect equality.

குன்றம் ஏந்திக் குளிர் மழை காத்தவன் அன்று ஞாலம் அளந்த பிரான் பரன் சென்று சேர் திருவேங்கட மா மலை ஒன்றுமே தொழ நம் வினை ஓயுமே (8)

He raised the mountain and guarded the cattle from the cold rain; that day the transcendent Lord measured the world. Go and reach the great sacred Vēṅkaṭa hill—worship that one place, and our karma will cease.

ஓயும் மூப்புப் பிறப்பு இறப்பு பிணி வீயுமாறு செய்வான் திருவேங்கடத்து ஆயன் நாள் மலர் ஆம் அடித்தாமரை வாயுள்ளும் மனத்துள்ளும் வைப்பார்கட்கே (9)

For those who keep upon tongue and mind the cowherd’s fresh lotus feet at sacred Vēṅkaṭam, he brings weariness, age, birth, death, and disease to an end.

வைத்த நாள் வரை எல்லை குறுகிச் சென்று எய்த்து இளைப்பதன் முன்னம் அடைமினோ பைத்த பாம்பு அணையான் திருவேங்கடம் மொய்த்த சோலை மொய் பூந் தடந் தாழ்வரே (10)

Before the boundary of your allotted days draws near and you arrive exhausted and faint, reach sacred Vēṅkaṭam of the serpent-couch Lord—its broad valleys crowded with groves and clustered flowers.

தாள் பரப்பி மண் தாவிய ஈசனை நீள் பொழில் குருகூர்ச் சடகோபன் சொல் கேழ் இல் ஆயிரத்து இப் பத்தும் வல்லவர் வாழ்வர் வாழ்வு எய்தி ஞாலம் புகழவே (11)

Śaṭhakopa of long-groved Kurukūr sang this peerless decad within his thousand on the Lord who spread his feet and strode across the earth. Those who master it will attain true life and live praised by the world.
