सकारः सत्यममृतं प्राप्तिः सोमश्च कीर्त्यते। तकारस्तारलक्ष्म्या च वैराजः प्रस्तरः स्मृतः ॥ ४ ॥

sakāraḥ satyamamṛtaṃ prāptiḥ somaśca kīrtyate| takārastāralakṣmyā ca vairājaḥ prastaraḥ smṛtaḥ || 4 ||

Fresh English translation

The sound sa is declared to mean truth, immortality, attainment, and Soma. The sound ta is remembered as the splendor of the saving syllable, the cosmic Virāj, and the foundation.
