Fresh English translation

I bow to the supreme deity, who bears the earth-globe like a droplet. You alone are Brahman for the devotee, moving within the vessel of the created cosmic egg. You are an ocean of qualities whose essence is beyond qualities, unmanifest yet producing the manifest; neither we nor the primordial beings can reach your limit, though we long through a thousand aeons. Desireless, partless Brahman, pure as sky, lotus and moon, strong and adorned at the navel—may unwavering love for you always abide. Like space, fire and wind, the world rests in you as in a lotus; those who worship the lotus of your feet do not fall into the world's net. Ornament of the Solar dynasty, destroyer of Lakṣmaṇa's foes, delighter of endless saints, destroyer of the sorrow caused by the gods' enemies: whoever possesses elevenfold devotion and the company of all ten directions dwells in that radiant abode—this is Rāmacaraṇa's desire. In harigīta meter: victory to the Infinite One of infinite qualities, whose limit no learned poet can reach—supreme Brahman, boat and ferryman, remover of the distress of everyone who longs for relief. Grant that very state: let my mind remain a fish in the city-lake filled with the water of rāsa, a cātaka repeating for the cloud, and a cakora holding fast to the full moon. The Compassionate One says, 'So be it.' Śruti again folds her hands: 'By your grace, treasury of grace, all our doubts and uncertainty are gone. We ask one thing: briefly explain, Lord, the reality of the coverings.' Hearing her, Rāmacaraṇa says, the pleased Lord begins to describe the reality of the divine abode.
