Sugriva reasons that monkeys without Sita's news could never have dared to eat Madhuvana's fruit. The company arrives, bows at his feet, and receives the king's affectionate embrace. All is well after seeing him, they say, and Rama's grace has made the mission successful.

Hanuman accomplished the deed and preserved every searcher's life. Sugriva embraces the servant again, then sets out with the entire company toward Raghupati.

Rama sees the monkeys approaching and recognizes completion in their movement. Special joy rises within him. He and Lakshmana sit upon the crystal stone as the whole company reaches them and falls at their feet. The road from the Ashoka tree has arrived before the waiting brothers.

Rama sees the returning company and knows from their faces that the ocean has yielded news of Sita.

Read the passage from the Manas

"If they had not found news of Sita, would they dare eat the fruits of Madhuvana?" Reflecting in this way, the king waited. Then the monkeys arrived with their whole company. They came and bowed their heads at his feet. The lord of the monkeys embraced them all with deep affection. He asked after their welfare. "All is well, having seen your feet. By Rama's grace, the mission was accomplished splendidly." "Lord, Hanuman has done the deed. He has preserved the lives of all the monkeys." Hearing this, Sugriva embraced Hanuman. Then, together with all the monkeys, he set out for Raghupati. When Rama saw the monkeys approaching, knowing their task was fulfilled, special joy arose in His heart. The two brothers sat upon a crystal rock, and all the monkeys rushed forward and fell at Their feet.
