Every day the visitors wander joyfully through the forest in all directions. Darshan has given rest, and Chitrakoot gives room for delight to move.

The people grow full and content like frogs and peacocks when the first monsoon rain reaches a land waiting beneath heat.

The comparison fills the scene with sound and renewal. Frogs call from awakened earth, peacocks open their plumes, and bodies lean into the season that restores them. So Ayodhya responds to Ram's nearness. The people had crossed the road withered by separation; now a few days within his forest become rain upon their lives.

Ram's nearness falls upon the weary city like first monsoon rain, and Chitrakoot fills with the calls and colors of renewed life.

Read the passage from the Manas

बिहरहिं बन चहु ओर प्रतिदिन प्रमुदित लोग सब। जल ज्यों दादुर मोर भए पीन पावस प्रथम।।251।।

All the people roam joyfully through the forest, delighted every day on all four sides. Like frogs and peacocks that grow full and content at the very first rains of the monsoon.
