रन जीति राम राउ आए। सानुज सदल ससीय कुसल आजु, अवध आनंद-बधाए॥ १ ॥ अरिपुर जारि, उजारि, मारि रिपु, बिबुध सुबास बसाए। धरनि-धेनु, महिदेव-साधु, सबके सब सोच नसाए॥ २ ॥ दई लंक, थिर थपे बिभीषन, बचन-पियूष पिआए। सुधा सींचि कपि, कृपा नगर-नर-नारि निहारि जिआए॥ ३ ॥ मिलि गुर, बंधु, मातु, जन, परिजन, भए सकल मन भाए। दरस-हरस दसचारि बरसके दुख पलमें बिसराए॥ ४ ॥ बोलि सचिव सुचि, सोधि सुदिन, मुनि मंगल-साज सजाए। महाराज-अभिषेक बरषि सुर सुमन निसान बजाए॥ ५ ॥ लै लै भेंट नृप-अहिप-लोकपति अति सनेह सिर नाए। पूजि, प्रीति पहिचानि राम आदरे अधिक, अपनाए॥ ६ ॥ दान मान सनमानि जानि रुचि, जाचक जन पहिराए। गए सोक-सर सूखि, मोद-सरिता-समुद्र गहिराए॥ ७ ॥ प्रभु-प्रताप-रबि अहित-अमंगल-अघ-उलूक-तम ताए। किए बिसोक हित-कोक-कोकनद लोक सुजस सुभ छाए॥ ८ ॥ रामराज कुलकाज सुमंगल, सबनि सबै सुख पाए। देहिं असीस भूमिसुर प्रमुदित, प्रजा प्रमोद बढ़ाए॥ ९ ॥ आश्रम-धरम-बिभाग बेदपथ पावन लोग चलाए। धरम-निरत, सिय-राम-चरन-रत, मनहु राम-सिय-जाए॥ १० ॥ कामधेनु महि, बिटप कामतरु, कोउ बिधि बाम न लाए। ते तब, अब तुलसी तेउ जिन्ह हित सहित राम-गुन गाए॥ ११ ॥
King Rāma has returned victorious from battle, safe with his younger brother, army, and Sītā; today Ayodhyā resounds with joyful congratulations. (1) He burned and laid waste the enemy city, slew the foe, and restored the gods to their blessed dwellings. He removed every grief of the earth, the cows, the twice-born, and the holy. (2) He gave Laṅkā to Vibhīṣaṇa, established him firmly, and made him drink the nectar of his words. He revived the monkeys by sprinkling them with nectar and gave new life to the city's men and women by gazing on them with grace. (3) Guru, brothers, mothers, servants, and relatives met him, and all their hearts' desires were fulfilled. In the joy of seeing him they forgot fourteen years of sorrow in a single moment. (4) The sage summoned pure-hearted ministers, determined an auspicious day, and prepared the ceremonial articles. At the great king's coronation, the gods showered flowers and sounded their drums. (5) Kings, serpent-lords, and guardians of the worlds brought gifts and bowed their heads with profound love. They worshiped him; Rāma recognized their affection, honored them greatly, and accepted them as his own. (6) Understanding each petitioner's wish, he honored them with gifts and had them clothed. Their lakes of sorrow dried up, while the rivers and oceans of joy grew deep. (7) Before the sun of the Lord's majesty, the owls and darkness of hostility, misfortune, and sin fled. The friendly cakravāka birds and lotuses became free of sorrow, and his beautiful fame spread through the worlds. (8) Under Rāma's rule, the affairs of every family were auspicious and everyone obtained every happiness. Delighted brāhmaṇas bestowed blessings and increased the people's joy. (9) He established the divisions of the āśrama duties and set people upon the purifying Vedic path. They were devoted to dharma and attached to the feet of Sītā and Rāma, as though born from Rāma and Sītā themselves. (10) The earth became a wish-fulfilling cow and every tree a wish-fulfilling tree; fate opposed no one. Tulsī says that was so for those people then—and it is so now for those who lovingly sing Rāma's virtues. (11)
