कब देखौंगी नयन वह मधुर मूरति? राजिवदल-नयन, कोमल, कृपा-अयन, मयननि बहु छबि अंगनि दूरति॥ १ ॥ सिरसि जटा-कलाप, पानि सायक, चाप, उरसि रुचिर बनमाल लूरति। तुलसिदास रघुबीरकी सोभा सुमिरि, भई है मगन नहि तनकी सूरति॥ २ ॥
“When will these eyes behold that sweet form—lotus-petal eyes, tender, the dwelling of compassion, whose limbs put the beauty of many Love-gods to shame? (1) A crown of matted locks is upon his head, bow and arrows are in his hands, and a lovely forest garland hangs across his breast.” Tulsīdāsa says that remembering Raghubīra’s beauty, Sītā became absorbed in love and lost awareness of her body.
