All who seek Rāma’s refuge fare well—rich or poor, great or small, wise or foolish, weak or exceedingly strong. (1) The lame, the blind, the virtue-less, and the destitute who cannot obtain even water when they beg: anyone born into the world who has walked Rāma’s royal road has been faithfully sustained. (2) The fierce rays of the sun of the name’s glory melt the impurity of the Kali age like frost. Even the villain Ajāmila crossed the ocean of becoming by uttering the name for his son’s sake. (3) Vibhīṣaṇa’s wish-fulfilling tree—a loving bow at the Lord’s feet—bore fruit at once. Tulsī says that when the name is remembered, sky, water, and land become auspicious for everyone. (4)
