How excellent was Vibhīṣaṇa’s fortune! A single bow pleased Rāma, who destroyed his sin, faults, and poverty. (1) When Rāvaṇa and Kumbhakarṇa asked for boons, Śiva and Brahmā caught them in a turn of words. Vibhīṣaṇa merely beheld Rāma and gained an immovable station; he had set out on a blessed day under good omens. (2) At the sight of master and servant meeting, even dry trees burst into flower and fruit. Tulsī says that when the ten-headed king heard of the honor shown his brother, he laughed aloud but burned within his heart. (3)
